Canvas/PVC Senior Repairer
Bee Jays Canvas Co has been successfully established in Welshpool, Western Australia, for over 40 years. We are a manufacturer and repairer of tarpaulins, tarping systems and industrial curtains for clients across many industries including the road transport industry, mining, farming and general industrial.
We are seeking a reliable hardworking person to join our team in our repair and maintenance section. The job offers a good variety of work, both at our factory and on site at various customers premises.
Duties to include
Travel to client sites to inspect and repair PVC Side Curtains and Roll Tarps
Operate industrial sewing machines, hot air welders and other tools and equipment
Repairing and modifying Canvas and PVC tarpaulins
Assist with the monitoring in and out of the factory of Canvas and PVC Tarps when hired out
Collection and delivery of Canvas and PVC Tarps from clients as needed
Supervise other workers when on site
Applicants need to have the following for this role
12 months experience in using an Industrial Sewing Machine and hand held hot air welders
A manual Driver's Licence
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to produce high quality work
Good communication skills as you will be working as part of a team and dealing directly with customers
A Forklift Ticket and Working at Heights Ticket would be an advantage
Previous experience using a High Frequency Welder would also be an advantage
