Line Supervisor (Food)

Salary: $78,000 - $85,000

You will also ensure compliance with company quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.

• Informing other Managers about production matters.
• Controlling the preparation of production records and reports.
• Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance.
• Coordinating the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements.
• Monitoring product quality before packaging by inspecting, taking samples and adjusting treatment conditions when necessary.
• Cleaning equipment, pumps, hoses, storage tanks, vessels and floors, and maintaining infestation control programs.
• Determining, implementing and monitoring production strategies and plans
• Monitoring production output and adjusting processes and resources then speaking to manager
• Informing other managers about production matters
• Directing staff activities and monitoring performance
• Controlling preparation of production records and reports
• Coordinating implementation of occupational health and safety requirements
• Checking cleanliness of equipment and premises to ensure OHS compliance
• Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance
• Coordinating forming, loading, baking and cooling of products
• Operating baking machinery
• Cleaning baking trays and equipment
• Preparing pastry fillings and dough
• Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance
• Operating machines to process dough
• Cleaning trays
• Operating machines to mix and knead dough
• Monitoring baking process and adjusting temperature/timing
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work area
• Adhering to health and safety regulations

• Minimum 2-year work experience in the food manufacturing industry in a supervisory capacity.
• Relevant qualifications in one of engineering or production/business management.
• Strong leadership skills, with a focus on people and culture
• A background in baking (desirable but not essential)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong numerical, planning, and organizational abilities
