They have plans to rapidly expand in Australia followed by international expansion.You will be working directly with the founders of the business and be a key member of the leadership team.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the COO, this role will initially operate independently, establishing and developing the finance function while taking responsibility for key areas, including:
- Managing cash flow forecasting and liquidity to ensure the business remains financially stable and well-positioned for growth.
- Overseeing month-end processes, financial reporting, and compliance to deliver accurate and timely financial statements.
- Managing relationships with external providers responsible for payroll and transactional finance functions.
- Collaborating with the leadership team operations managers to provide financial insights that drive business performance.
- Conducting financial analysis and feasibility assessments for new store developments in partnership with the development team.
- Establishing and maintaining strong financial controls and risk management frameworks.
- Leading financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support strategic growth and decision-making.
- Driving process enhancements and implementing financial systems to improve efficiency, scalability, and reporting.
- Coordinating with external accountants and tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax obligations, audits, and regulatory requirements.
The Successful Applicant
You are a commercially savvy finance professional with a proactive, hands-on approach and a strong history of driving business growth in fast-paced environments. You excel under pressure, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining a composed and solutions-focused mindset.
- CPA or CA qualification with solid technical finance expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in managing financial reporting, cash flow, and budgeting within a scaling business.
- Background in a fast-moving, hands-on scale-up environment where adaptability and problem-solving are essential.
- Strong commercial insight with a collaborative approach to working with operational teams.
- Skilled in implementing financial systems and optimising processes for efficiency and scalability.
