Job Description:

Salary: $73,200 plus superannuation

Qualifications & Experience: AQF Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery (or overseas equivalent) + 2 years of experience past qualifications date

Or at least three years of relevant experience to substitute the formal qualification.

Task and Duties include (but not limited to)
Assist in catering activities for large gatherings and private events.
Preparing multiple orders simultaneously during peak periods with a high accuracy rate, maximizing customer satisfaction.
Inspecting food items to guarantee quality standards.
Prepare salads, sauces, and desserts.
Ensuring the temperature is adequate to cook food according to the standard.
Seasoning entrees such as chicken, fish and lamb, etc-enhancing flavors by seasoning food during the cooking process.
Partitioning food portions, arranging them on plates, and embellishing with gravies, sauces, and garnishes.
Storing cooked and raw food in proper temperature-controlled areas.
Follows food health and safety procedure.
Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner.
Test foods to ensure preparation and temperature.
Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu and ensure the dietary requirements are considered.
Remember all the multiple orders and easily assemble to the order.
Prepare food with passion and this reflects in our customer's feedback.
Responsible for kitchen stocks and handling with care.

Cleans food preparation area as determined by the law and company policy.

Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements

Ensure the work environment and stations are clean and sanitized.
