Construction Project Manager
AI Talent is currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of large-scale construction and engineering projects. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and managing all phases of construction, including coordination of people, materials, budgets, compliance, and timelines.
You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and government bodies to ensure that each project meets both client and regulatory expectations — delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organise and manage all aspects of construction project delivery from initiation to completionLead the coordination and prioritisation of resources across multiple building and infrastructure projects
Interpret and assess architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements
Procure materials, labour, plant, and equipment to meet scheduled milestones and budgets
Liaise with architects, consultants, engineers, contractors, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle
Oversee time, cost, quality, risk, and safety parameters across all projects under management
Prepare and manage tender submissions, contract bids, and supplier agreements
Monitor compliance with WHS legislation and industry performance standards
Lead site inspections, safety audits, and progress meetings with stakeholders
Manage subcontractor performance, site schedules, and on-site personnel
Develop and maintain project documentation, reporting, and financial records
Implement change management strategies for scope adjustments and unforeseen project variations
Ensure projects align with organisational objectives, client needs, and statutory obligations
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related fieldAt least 5 years of relevant experience in construction project delivery (may substitute for formal qualifications in some cases)
ANZSCO Skill Level 1
Proven track record managing large-scale construction or engineering projects across residential, commercial, or infrastructure sectors
Strong knowledge of construction codes, safety regulations, and local authority processes
Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Registration or licensing may be required depending on state or territory regulations
Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and teams under pressure
