Sydney - Resort Manager
Providence Park is a unique accommodation facility located on the shores of Lake Eucumbene/ Eucumbene River in the Northern end of Australia’s iconic Snowy Mountains, within the Kosciuszko National Park. In fact, the property is surrounded by national park.
The business is planning to rebrand itself to an Eco-Resort in March 2025, to provide guests with holistic vacation experience as well as increased recreational amenities and improving the recreational activities options at the renowned destination in NSW.The property will have a capacity for all levels of accommodation ranging from eco-friendly bungalows, nature-inspired cottages, basic and panoramic mountain view rooms, honeymoon suites, elevated rooms, presidential suites, basic and authentic Snowy Hydro en-suited donga rooms, lodge rooms, and glamping domes with private hot tub and fire pit.
The property will have a capacity for up to 400 guests on completion.
With an emphasis on events and large groups during the Summer season as well as families and school groups during the Winter ski season, our need for an experienced Resort Manager is integral in the success of the business all year round.
This position will be responsible for growing our business to become recognised as one of the biggest and best in the Mount Kosciuszko National Park surrounding region.
The remuneration package may include on-site accommodation due to the location.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
As the Resort Manager, your role will include but not limited to the following:
- Monitoring guests' stay experience, customer complaints and dispute resolutions where required
- Daily financial reconciliations and auditing of financials and resort inventory
- Organising long-stay payment process and allocation via Doorloop, EziDebit and cloud-based card processing
- Preparing, handling and terminating employment contracts in accordance with the Hospitality Industry Award and the National Employment Standards (NES) when required
- Coordinating daily housekeeping and ensuring all priority work such as departures/ arrivals are completed using available staff
- Liaising with operators and coordinators to ensure all expectations are met for large group bookings including accommodation, food and activities when required
- Liaising with conference guests and organising conference activities or other events
- Supervising food logistics including preparing menus and staff for group bookings, planning for dietary requirements for up to 400 people
- Providing directors with regular updates on the financial position, potential expenses, issues and solutions
- Overseeing security arrangements, security facilities and footages, and taking correspondence actions when required
- Overseeing property maintenance for the resort facility
