On behalf of our valued client, we at Ambina Group are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper who wants to work close to home, school hours, for a friendly, long-established company.

As their Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining their financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing insightful financial analysis to support their business decisions.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail orientated and experienced Part Time Senior Bookkeeper, to oversee the daily accounting operations, manage financial transactions, support stock control, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and provide system support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and part of the bigger team.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update financial records in Tencia accounting software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Oversee invoicing, process payments, reconcile accounts, and manage outstanding balances.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
  • Process and reconcile Workcover payments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including BAS, GST, PAYG, and other financial obligations.
  • Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicate with Accountant, Auditors and financial institutions as required.
  • Maintain accounting software and ensure accurate, timely data entry.
  • Manage stock control, including the creation of stock items, costing, procurement, and receival of goods.
  • Oversee stock reconciliation processes and coordinate stock codes and cycle counts.
  • Enter job-related invoicing into the in-house software system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform basic system support functions and coordinate with external support for all other system-related issues.
  • Maintain the overall integrity of financial and operational data within internal systems.
  • Provide additional financial and administrative support as required by Management.
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant.
  • Strong knowledge of taxation, accounting principles and financial reporting standards, ideally in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in Tencia accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently to deadlines.
  • Current clean Police Check.
