About Our Client

A successful Azure Data Engineer should have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
• Proven experience with Azure data factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions.
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.

• Strong analytical skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python,

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Liaise with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists on project goals.
• Ensure architecture will support the requirements of the business.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements.
• Automate manual processes, optimise data delivery, and re-design infrastructure for greater scalability.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in data systems.
• Maintain data security and compliance within the organisation.
