The opportunity:
Delaware North Australia is hiring a Coxswain to join our team at Lizard Island Resort. What you will do?:
- Maintain marine equipment and operate marine vehicles to transport guests, team members, and tours
- Ensure the consistency, quality, and integrity of the delivery of guest service related to the activities function
- Meet and greet incoming and outgoing guests, conduct tours, spearhead activities, and oversee property transfers
- Support the implementation of plans and strategies to improve speed of service and operational efficiencies
- Create a safe work environment by assisting with implementation of OH&S policies and procedures
More about you:
- Certificate of Competency - Full Grade 1 Coxswain or higher required
- Other required certificates include manual driver’s license, Long Range Operator certificate of proficiency, Responsible Service of Alcohol, AS 2299 diving medical certificate, Provide Advanced Resuscitation, and Oxygen Therapy certificate
- Knowledge of marine environment, dive industry, and resort flora, fauna, bird, and animal life
- Fishing guide experience and PADI instructor certification preferred
- Valid Padi Diving insurance and PADI membership
- Dive Master or Dive Instructor qualifications will be highly regarded
- Outboard mechanical and servicing experience highly regarded
Physical requirements:
- This is a physical role and will support all operations of our activities team
