What You’ll Be Doing
As a Disability Support Worker, you’re not just ticking off tasks. You’ll be helping people live their lives independently, with dignity, and in ways that genuinely matter to them. Every day is different, and your role is all about making real, positive connections.You’ll support clients with personal care, medication, getting out into the community, and just being there as a reliable, friendly face.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Providing personal care and daily support that makes people feel respected and valued
- Helping clients move safely with manual handling and mobility assistance
- Administering medications with care and attention
- Making home environments comfortable, safe, and welcoming
- Communicating openly with clients, their families, and our team
- Documenting what’s needed to make sure clients get the best, consistent care
- Heart and Patience: This work isn’t for everyone, but if you’re patient and genuinely care, you’ll fit right in.
- Experience Matters: At least a year’s experience in disability support, and a Certificate III in Individual Support or similar is a plus.
- Driver’s License: Needed for getting around and helping clients be out and about.
- NDIS Worker Screening check and induction modules
- First aid certificate
- Medication Confidence: Experience is great, but we’ll help you train if needed.
- Good Communicator: Being a good listener and clear communicator makes all the difference.
