About the Role:
The General Clerk will play a key role in supporting daily operations and enhancing guest services at Kosciuszko Tourist Park.
Responsibilities and tasks:- Accurately record, prepare, classify, sort, and file documents and information related to park operations and staff activities.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence; prepare and dispatch outgoing mail and packages.
- Operate photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines to reproduce and distribute materials as needed.
- Preparing routine reports, such as daily visitor logs, equipment usage summaries, and maintenance requests.
- Performing receptionist duties, including greeting visitors, answering general inquiries, and maintaining a tidy front desk area.
- Entering and updating information into computer systems, transcribing handwritten notes, and proofreading for accuracy and completeness.
- Providing visitors and callers with general information about park facilities, opening hours, regulations, and upcoming events.
- Maintaining records of equipment issued to park staff, ensuring accurate tracking and timely return.
- Receiving and logging letters, emails, and telephone messages, and directing them to appropriate personnel.
- AQF Certificate II or III.
- At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
- In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to interact courteously with the public and staff.
