Farm Hand, Production Line and Harvest Workers (Casual) - Nericon
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking motivated and reliable individuals who can work as a Harvest Picker, Production Line Worker and Farm Hand. These roles are essential to the continued success of our farm operations and provide a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, outdoor environment.
You may be required to work in any of these roles which is dependent on operational needs and availability of the day.
Job Descriptions:
As a FARM HAND, will assist in the efficient operation and management of the farm. Crops being produced on our farms include mangoes, seedless watermelon, rockmelons, broccoli, and pumpkin.
About the role:- Operate small tractors to transport fruit.
- Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops.
- Perform general farm labouring tasks.
- Perform daily pre-start checks.
- Record basic information about crops.
- Dig and plant seeds, or transplant seedlings by hand.
- Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand.
- Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive to storage facilities.
As a PRODUCTION LINE WORKER, you will assist in all-round stock controlling, picking, packing and quality assurance of produce.
About the role:- Receiving incoming goods, checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and packing orders.
- Unloading vehicles, opening packages, and removing contents.
- Labelling goods with details of storage location.
- Packing and weighing goods and sealing boxes.
- Assisting with regular stocktakes.
As a HARVEST PICKER, your role will include, but are not limited to:
- Picking fruit and vegetables according to size and ripeness by hand
- Discarding rotting and over-ripened produce following our quality standards
- Operating small tractors, when required
- Loading picked fresh produce into containers
- Digging and planting/transplanting seedlings by hand
To be successful in these roles you will possess the following:
- Evidence of work rights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude
- Mechanically inclined, good with tools and machinery.
- Confidence using modern technology such as smartphones.
- Current Driver's License is advantageous
- Team player who can work effectively with people from different backgrounds.
- Awareness and ability to adhere to WHS requirements.
- Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets, including weekends and public holidays.
- Experience within the agricultural industry, a truck license, Chemical Accreditation (ChemCert) and/or a valid forklift license would be considered an advantage.

Commencement date: December 2025.
Renumeration: Starting at $29.33/hr (Horticulture Award 2020, Level 1). You will then progress to $30.13 (Horticulture Award 2020, Level 2) after 3 months of continuous employment.
