We are looking for someone that will provide day to day management of the Coordination Team enabling the team to deliver effective supports to all clients. It is expected that the Coordination Team Leader will work alongside the team to provide guidance and support and model best practice to the team of Coordinators.
To apply you will need to have a BSc – Biomedical Science (Physiology) and at least 4 years’ previous experience in the disability, youth, child protection and/or welfare sector and be able to start immediately. We are offering $80K -$85K

Skills and experience:
Essential:
- Previous experience in the disability, youth, child protection and/or welfare sector
- Experience in a rostering or a coordination role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience in managing a team
- Excellent organizational skills
- High level of computer literacy
- A clear national police check
- An understanding of person-centred active support
- Knowledge of NDIS and other relevant funding streams in the disability, youth, child protection and/or welfare sectors
- Be aware of the upcoming future rostering volumes for resource planning
- The Coordination Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management of the coordination Team and enabling appropriate and effective rostering of services to clients. There are multiple Team Leader roles, however it is expected that all Team Leaders have a general overview and accountability of the Coordination Team.
- Being aware of the upcoming future rostering volumes for resource planning including public holidays
- Working alongside Care Coordinators to assist with workload including taking inbound calls and enabling advance rostering
- Day to day management of care coordinators – troubleshooting, supporting and allocating workflow
- Being familiar with participant requirements and any specific details required to successfully match carers
- Completing payroll tasks to ensure all support staff are paid correctly and in a timely manner
- Coaching and development of coordinators including regular 1:1 meetings; supervision; learning and development support and performance management with support from the Coordination Manager
- Monitoring call volumes and service levels and evaluating quantitative and qualitive data within our phone system
- Recruitment and interviewing for new Coordinators
- Other tasks as directed by the Coordination Manager
- Liaising with clients, support workers, external stakeholders such as Case Managers, allied health professionals etc., to coordinate client supports
- Liaising with members of the our Client Services Team relating to changing client needs or complex client queries
- Managing new client enquiries when the Client Service team are unavailable
- When required, handling complaint resolution processes, including communication with relevant stakeholders
