We are a fast-growing digital marketing company that thrives on innovation, data, and automation. Our business is built around recurring revenue from subscription-based services and cutting-edge AI-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency.

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-sufficient Standalone Accountant to own and manage the full accounting function from end to end.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Accounting and Reporting:

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including
general-purpose financial statements in accordance with AASB and Australian
Accounting Standards.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial reporting reflects accurate and
timely financial performance.
  • Assist with year-end financial statements and external audits, including liaising with
auditors and external accountants.
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Payroll Tax.
  • Ensure compliance with ATO regulations related to GST, PAYG, and
superannuation.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor budgets in collaboration with management.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations based on financial trends
and performance.
  • Assist with long-term financial forecasting and scenario modelling.
  • Design and implement internal controls to support the integrity of financial
information.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures that comply with

Australian financial reporting standards.

Additional:
  • Leverage Zapier and other automation tools to ensure accurate data flow between
Stripe (subscription billing), Xero (accounting software), and HubSpot (CRM and
revenue tracking).
  • Collaborate with operations to improve financial data accuracy and reduce manual
processes.
  • Act as a financial advisor to the leadership team, offering insights to support decision making and growth initiatives.
  • Provide regular financial health updates, cash flow analysis, and performance metrics

such as MRR, churn rate, and customer LTV.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of full-function accounting experience, preferably in a small to
mid-sized business.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance, including GST and payroll
tax.
  • Proven experience with Xero, Stripe, Zapier, HubSpot, and Asana (or similar
tools).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working towards CPA qualification.
  • Experience in a subscription-based or digital marketing business model.

Salary: $85000- $95000 /year +Super
