Registered Nurse (Acute Specialist Clinics)- Acute Specialist Clinics (Blackburn Public Surgical Centre) | Specialist Clinics operate Monday to Friday- 8am - 5.30pm
- Temporary Part-Time (16 hours per week) | Parental Leave Cover Position - 20th January 2025- 17th January 2026
- Two 8 hour shifts per week - Tuesday and Friday.

About the role
A rare opportunity has arisen to work with us in Acute Specialist Clinics at Blackburn Public Surgical Centre on a temporary part time basis. Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with experience in general medical and surgical/ gynaecology / orthopaedics nursing.
Are you looking for a new challenge? Specialist clinics at Blackburn Public Surgical Centre is a busy department of the hospital meeting the needs of patients from the community by providing a range of specialist services. Approximately 160 000 occasions of service are provided annually for new patients accessing specialist services, review appointments for ongoing care or post admission (from the Emergency Department or wards).
About you
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Recent experience in specialist clinics and/ or surgical nursing
- Have an interest in wound management and care
- Thrive in a busy team environment with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team
- Strong commitment to high quality patient care
- Be flexible, dependable, organised and caring
- Understanding, or willingness to learn, programmes such as CPF, i PM and e MR
- Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
