Job Description

This position will require the successful candidate to:

• Manage the debt recovery process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all debt recovery actions.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external debtors to facilitate debt recovery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Analyse and report on debt recovery performance.
• Identify and recommend improvements to the debt recovery process.
• Work collaboratively with the Accounting & Finance team to achieve department goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Debt Recovery Officer should have:

• A strong background in debt recovery and experience in accounts receivable or collections.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency in using financial software and systems, specifically SAP or other tier one systems.
• A solid understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
