We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Mechanical Engineering Technician to support the upkeep, modification, and efficient operation of our advanced production equipment and plant.

Location: Mulgrave, VIC

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications to ensure compliance with manufacturing and safety standards.
  • Assemble and install new or upgraded mechanical systems, components, filling machines, conveyors, and related equipment used in the production and packaging of creams, lotions, and other topical products.
  • Monitor machine performance, conduct inspections, and execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and maintain production continuity.
  • Diagnose faults in machinery and coordinate with the engineering team for timely resolution and part replacements.
  • Conduct technical tests, such as vibration analysis and load testing, on equipment to ensure functionality and safety in compliance with internal SOPs and GMP standards.
  • Estimate and document material quantities, machine parts, and resource requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Maintain and update equipment logs, maintenance records, and technical documentation in line with audit and compliance obligations.
  • Supervise and assist with the training of operators or junior maintenance staff in the safe and efficient use of mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure all modifications and installations adhere to relevant Australian standards, safety codes, and regulatory guidelines, including TGA and ISO certifications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities to optimise equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation per annum
Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years

Qualification: AQF Certificate II or III in a relevant field
