Boundary Island Brewery is a waterfront craft brewery situated on the stunning Mandurah Estuary. Our kitchen team is the heart and soul of our Brewery and we are looking for a vibrant, innovative and fun individual to join our team.

You will be working alongside the Head Chef whilst taking responsibility and ownership of your assigned kitchen section. Your role will be to produce exceptional food as part of a team of up to 12 Chefs, as well as ensure all OHS standards are met and assisting in all area of preparation.

You will also be required to show leadership and assist with the training of kitchen juniors.

Open 7 days a week, the Boundary Island Brewery is a destination venue and includes a sky deck over looking a small marina, stunning indoor fireplace and outdoor open wood fireplace, brand new Texan offset Smoker, separate pizza kitchen with a state of the art pizza oven, balcony for long lunches, relaxed undercover alfresco area and more.

Renumberation is between $73,150 and $75,000

We are looking for multiple Chef De Parties’ to Join our team:
Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Menu Execution Excellence: Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to execute menu items flawlessly, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to recipe standards.
  2. Kitchen Operations Oversight: Take charge of daily kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service and exceptional food quality. Making sure to take full responsibility for ALL Kitchen operations.
  3. Team Leadership and Development: Lead by example and provide guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork. Mentor junior chefs, assisting in their skill development and career advancement within the kitchen brigade.
  4. Inventory and Procurement Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory levels, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock, and controlling food costs to maximize profitability while minimizing waste.
  5. Quality Control and Standards Maintenance: Maintain strict standards of food quality and presentation, conducting regular inspections and addressing any deviations promptly to uphold our culinary reputation.
  6. Safety and Hygiene Compliance: Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Enforce proper sanitation practices and oversee equipment maintenance.
  7. Menu Development and Innovation: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items, contribute creative ideas, and participate in menu planning sessions. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques and ingredients into our culinary offerings.
  8. Customer Satisfaction Focus: Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction, accommodating special requests, and addressing any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
  9. Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Uphold company policies, procedures, and kitchen protocols, including health and safety guidelines, and ensure all kitchen staff follow best practices and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year & 6 months with a preference of 2 years experience in a previous role
  • Strong staff development & Training back ground
  • Commercial Cookery Certification or equivalent work experience
  • Reliable form of transportation
  • Demonstrated experience within a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Hours are full time. Usual hospitality hours apply – working weekends and evenings.
  • Qualifications & experience
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
