Essential QualificationsDiploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA equivalent.
Minimum two years of post qualification experienceA current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.
First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.
Essential Skills and Attributes: Ability to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all children.
Understanding the developmental milestones and needs of children in various age groups.Capability to design, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for children.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with children, parents and colleagues.
Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
Adaptable to various situations and needs that arise in an early childhood setting.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, implementation and evaluation of a developmentally and culturally appropriate program for children aged from 0 to 6 years. Be guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (or approved framework).Assist in documenting observations of individual and/or groups of children for educational program purposes.
Undertake and implement the requirements of National Quality Standards, Law and regulations.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with the national early learning framework for children from birth to five years.
Understanding of the standards and assessment process to ensure quality service.Respect and understanding of diverse cultures, families and individual children's needs.
Proficiency in using computers and relevant software to document children's learning and development.
