The Client:

Entireti is the parent company of two of Australia's leading financial advice businesses. They offer a range of business services and resources to approximately 1300 advisers. Their focus is solely financial advice and all the things that are required to successfully provide it.

They now seek an experienced Technology Support Officer to join their team in Sydney, NSW.

The Role:

The position for hire is a Technology Support Officer and will be for a full-time basis at $85000 – $100,000 per annum, and will be based at their Sydney CBD office.

The Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze business requirements by collaborating with internal staff and financial advisers, identifying process optimization opportunities and recommending functionality improvements for Xplan.
  • Apply technical acumen and business analysis concepts to ascertain, assess, and articulate systems scope and objectives.
  • Engage proactively with advisers and support staff to assess their technology needs, provide consulting expertise, and communicate updates, best practices, and system changes.
  • Plan, administer, and execute software testing, encompassing system and user acceptance testing to ensure compliance with agreed functional and system requirements
  • Evaluate and refine existing system processes to improve efficiency, implement productivity enhancements, and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, system configurations, and support logs
  • Define and document system requirements, developing functional specifications while working closely with internal teams and technology providers to implement solutions that support business objectives.
  • Investigate and analyse business processes, procedures, and work practices, evaluating inefficiencies and proposing optimal business practices, system functionality, and behaviour.
  • Recommend applications, software, and digital platforms for automation, addressing business process gaps within the enterprise architecture.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional specifications, articulating them clearly and concisely for internal business solutions
  • Lead training sessions, meetings, and workshops to upskill users, onboard new practices, and provide insights into technology initiatives.
  • Support management in establishing and developing the ICT team’s approach to delivering ICT solutions efficiently.
  • Assist with technology project coordination, overseeing documentation, scheduling, and ensuring tasks progress in line with established timelines.
The Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics or a related field
  • At least 1 year experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services sector
  • At least 1 year experience in analysing and documenting business and system requirements within financial services
  • At least 1 year experience liaising with cross-functional teams including IT and finance
  • At least 1 year experience working with financial planning systems
  • At least 1 year experience using business analysis tools and methodologies such as BPMN, UML, SQL queries, and Agile frameworks (Scrum or SAFe)
  • At least 1 year experience on Xplan Helpdesk
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, trends, and systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of ICT infrastructure, software development life cycle, and emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with databases, network systems, and software applications.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
