Join Our Team: Wok & Grill, a premier dining destination at Riverstone Schofields Memorial Club, is seeking a highly experienced and passionate chef to join our dynamic and creative team. Offering a classic Chinese and bistro culinary experience in Riverstone.

Your Role: As the heart of our restaurant, our kitchen boasts an open design, providing an interactive dining experience. We are looking for someone who can bring both passion and expertise to this vital role.

• Estimate and control food and labour costs and manage food supply orders, report to Head Chef in a regular basis.
• Ensure the highest quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Demonstrates an ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is of a high standard.
• Collaborate and interact positively with the team to manage preparation lists and ensure seamless service.
• Oversee cooking techniques and procedures, ensuring team compliance. • Participate in the hiring and training of kitchen staff.
• Be willing to learn the ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical procedures, recipes, manuals, or statutory regulations.
• Uphold all health and safety regulations in the kitchen to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 1 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma in Culinary Arts, or equivalent is preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• A deep passion for cooking and knowledge of current culinary trends.
• Comprehensive understanding of Workplace Health and Safety.• Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.
• Ability to follow Head Chef’s Instruction

Offer:

• A competitive salary of $74,000-$80,000 per year (38 hours per week) plus statutory superannuation.
