Oral Health Therapist (Full/Part Time)
About the Role
At The Dental Group, we are seeking an Oral Health Therapist (OHT) to join our passionate team dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a supportive environment. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and play a key role in promoting oral health and hygiene.
Your Responsibilities
As an OHT, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients, providing routine preventative care, and educating patients on best oral health practices. You will collaborate with our dental team to create tailored treatment plans that meet the needs of our patients.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct oral health assessments and screenings
- Provide preventive and therapeutic dental care, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and dietary advice
- Work collaboratively with dentists and the dental team to implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and stay up-to-date with treatment progress
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote oral health awareness
- Essential Qualifications:
- At least 2 years' experience as an Oral Health Therapist or in a similar role
- Valid OHT registration and practicing certificate
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development
