Key responsibilities:
- Supervising and directing clinical staff within the clinical unit
- Ensuring procedures and guidelines are conducted to industry standards
- Organising for servicing and maintenance of all clinical equipment
- Administering Investigational Products, prescription, and medications
- Managing consumables for clinical unit use
- Providing general nursing care and monitoring participants well-being
- Conducting procedures such as vital signs, ECG’s, blood collection, blood processing and data collection
- Providing leadership and managing emergency situations
- Liaising with clinical operations management
- Participating, when required, in development and training of clinical unit staff
- Assisting in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Learning & Development packages
- Ensuring direct line reports of the clinical unit have Key Performance Indictors (KPI’s) completed and maintained as identified in the corporate
- KPI goal
- Rostering and leave management for clinical unit staff
Requirements:
- Registered Division 1 Nurse with AHPRA (no restrictions)
- 3 years minimum post graduate experience
- At least 1 year experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage staff and coordinate shifts
- Enthusiastic, driven, positive and highly motivated
- Must have excellent time management skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently and effectively in a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with participants and other health care professionals
- Maintain a professional level of confidentiality
- Rotating roster Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3pm/2pm until 10 pm and on call weekends
