About the Role:V2 Digital is seeking a Principal Design Consultant (UX/UI) Contractor with leadership experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding the design process from strategy to execution, working closely with development and product teams to conceptualize, design, and deliver user interfaces and experiences that meet our clients' goals.
You will play a key role in shaping product strategy, conducting research, and ensuring the designs align with both client expectations and business outcomes.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
- Lead the design process, including product strategy, journey mapping, and UX wireframing.
- Develop and deliver design concepts and wireframes that align with business goals and client needs, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather insights from stakeholders to inform design decisions.
- Create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces for digital platforms, including websites and mobile apps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are technically feasible, align with brand guidelines, and are delivered on time.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, focusing on retail industry design challenges, and applying best practices in both UX and UI design.
- Create and maintain design documentation and guidelines for internal teams and clients.
Requirements:
- A portfolio demonstrating a range of design capabilities, including UX wireframes, UI designs, and journey maps.
- Leadership experience in design teams or projects.
- Expertise in UX/UI design with a focus on both web and mobile platforms.
- Experience in the retail industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of user research, product strategy, and design processes.
- Proficiency in design software tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and timelines.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
