The Role:
To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a secretarial or administrative capacity within a litigation practice. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will primarily support a senior lawyer and a specialist counsel.You will work alongside another Legal Assistant, providing support to a wider team of legal professionals.
The team offers a range of legal services across banking and commercial litigation, corporate and personal insolvency, and financial services regulatory work, representing both local and national clients.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of documents and correspondence.
- File maintenance, including the opening, closing, and archiving of files (both electronic and physical).
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to multiple legal professionals.
- Handling telephone calls and enquiries (both incoming and outgoing).
- Preparing invoices, cheque requisitions, and other account-related matters.
- Maintaining databases and contact registers for fee earners.
- Preparing and managing mail, including scanning, faxing, and printing.
