About the Position
The Procurement Specialist role is a critical position within Square Ceilings Pty Ltd, responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of construction materials, equipment, and services.

The role involves supplier management, contract negotiation, cost control, and collaboration with project teams to support the company’s large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
Identify, assess, and select reliable suppliers, maintaining strong relationships to ensure a stable supply chain.
Prepare and issue RFQs, tender documents, and purchase orders; negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
Monitor procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assist in budget planning and forecasting.
Track production, shipment, and delivery schedules to ensure timely and quality delivery to project sites.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and ensure compliance with company policies and Australian regulations.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to meet procurement requirements.

Conduct market research on industry trends, pricing, and innovative materials or technologies.

Requirements

Qualifications: Advanced Diploma or higher in a relevant field (e.g., procurement, supply chain management, or construction management).

Experience: Minimum of 7 years in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent supplier relationship management and communication abilities.
Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and Australian regulations.
Analytical skills for market research and trend analysis.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
