Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify faults in engines and automotive parts.
- Skillfully dismantle, inspect, and assess engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other critical components.
- Perform high-quality repairs or replacements of worn or defective parts, followed by meticulous reassembly.
- Carry out regular maintenance services including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to enhance vehicle efficiency and adhere to environmental standards.
- Reassemble engines and components with precision, ensuring they meet operational standards.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and computer software to accurately test and adjust mechanical systems after repairs.
- Participate in ongoing training and use of modern equipment to stay abreast of industry advancements.
- Potentially inspect vehicles and prepare them for roadworthiness certifications.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, typically involving 38 hours per week.
Ideal Candidate Profile:- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive mechanics.
- Holds an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards of workmanship.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of explaining complex issues in understandable terms.
Remuneration: The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
