Fixed term temporary part time opportunity to provide efficient administration support to the Discharge Transit Centre (DTC) at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital by liaising with patients, staff and external contacts to coordinate timely admission, discharge and transport of patients.
About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide a confidential and courteous reception service with an excellent customer focus in a friendly and helpful manner, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in a written and oral capacity with patients, their families, staff and other contacts, including scheduling interpreter services where required.
- Contribute to the daily operation of the service by completing general administration duties such as faxing, photocopying, and scanning.
- Contribute to patient flow efficiencies within the service by using available systems and liaising with a range of staff to complete admissions, discharges and patient transfers in a timely manner, including completing associated paperwork and procedures.
- Coordinate an efficient and timely patient transport service by monitoring requests, coding and allocating bookings and liaising with external transport services.
