Property Manager
The Role The Property Manager is responsible for organising, directing and controlling the operations of the property, ensuring excellence across all accommodation and guest service functions. This role is central to maintaining the high standards expected across all operational departments.
Working closely with the Regional General Manager/Chief Operations Officer, the role supports the continued success of the property through efficient leadership, team development and outstanding service delivery. Benefits This is a full-time position with a generous salary on offer between $80,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation , commensurate to experience.
Task & Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, guest and team satisfaction, cleanliness, and budget adherence. Manage room inventory, including allocation and reservations, to maximise occupancy and revenue.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance. Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction Monitor and analyse guest feedback and online reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure timely room turnovers and address any maintenance issues, maintaining high standards of cleanliness Plan and coordinate guest experiences and on-site activities to ensure a welcoming and memorable stay Lead and support the team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations Oversee the implementation of safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, health, safety, and other relevant regulations Prepare and manage the hostel budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across all departments and adherence to financial targets Maintain accurate records of room occupancy, rates, and financial transactions, ensuring compliance with financial policies Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures across all areas of the hostel.Foster a positive team culture that aligns with our values. Qualification & Experience Relevant diploma or higher qualification and at least one year of relevant work experience as an Accommodation and Hospitality Manager or alternatively at least three years of relevant experience as an Accommodation and Hospitality Manager.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction Financial acumen, including budgeting and operational performance analysis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset. Experience in handling guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively. Strong organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of safety and security protocols within a hospitality setting.
