HR Generalist

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing a variety of human resources-related duties and works closely with HR Manager and departmental managers. The role encompasses employee relations, compliance, learning and development, performance management and employee benefits.
This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of HR best practices and legal compliance.

Key responsibilities:
- Employee Relations; act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Learning & Development; assist in developing and delivering internal training programs.
- Performance management; support managers in conducting performance reviews and feedback sessions.
- Engagement and Retention
- Compliance, Policy and Administration; stay updated on employment legislation and ensure compliance, assist with WHS requirements.
- HR Consulting/Other; provide Managers with timely and effective HR support and advice or escalate to HR Manager, assist with workforce planning initiatives and more.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills to handle sensitive situations.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Process-oriented mindset to create and streamline workflows.
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities and unexpected challenges.
- Experience in planning and executing HR projects, such as policy rollouts or training programs.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- 3+ years of experience in a generalist HR role
- Attention to detail
- Self motivated and can work independently
- Education: Tertiary qualifications in HR
