About Our Client

Our client is a large multinational consumer goods business and a market leader in their respective industry. Seeing tremendous growth in the last decade and showing no signs of slowing down, there is now a great opportunity for a Tax & Treasury Accountant to drive the tax and compliance function of the business.

Job Description
  • Prepare and review income tax returns, BAS returns and FBT returns in accordance with AU and NZ tax regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimise the company's tax position while complying with Australian tax law.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all required tax forms in accordance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Support audits and provide documentation as required by tax authorities.
  • Assist with the identification of tax savings opportunities and strategies.
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring the company has adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
  • Prepare and maintain daily cash position reports and forecasts.
  • Assist with managing the company's banking relationships and debt covenants.
  • Support the management of foreign exchange and interest rate risks.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting for tax and treasury functions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, including tax provisions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls, tax policies, and treasury-related regulations.
  • Support in identifying and mitigating financial risks associated with tax and treasury activities.
  • Recommend improvements to existing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and best practices in treasury management.
The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Business
  • 3-4 years of Tax Accounting experience either in a large MNC environment or as a Corporate Tax Consultant in a Big 4/mid-tier chartered accounting firm.
  • Ideally you will be CA/CPA/CTA qualified or working towards one.
  • A strong can-do attitude, curiosity and hunger for learning, and mindset for continuous improvement.
