As the Head of Demand Planning & Inventory, you'll drive the strategy and execution of inventory forecasting, purchasing, and replenishment for our business, working cross-functionally to ensure optimal stock levels and support our mission of delivering fresh and delightful meal kits across Australia.If you’re passionate about using data, technology, and collaboration to keep inventory accurate and cost-effective, this could be the role for you!
Your Role:
- Lead Demand Forecasting and Inventory Planning: Optimise our demand forecasts and MRPs to maintain optimal stock levels, with the goal of achieving optimal on-time, in-full (DIFOT) order fulfilment
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Operations, Sourcing, Culinary and Finance to integrate forecasting, production needs, and inventory strategies, aligning forecasts and production plans with overall business requirements to balance inventory turnover and cost efficiency.
- Optimise Processes and Driving Innovation: Drive continuous improvement by applying innovative, tech-enabled solutions that enhance inventory accuracy, forecast precision, and process efficiency.
- Hands-On Team Leadership: Lead with a hands-on approach, offering mentorship, setting clear performance standards, and fostering a collaborative and proactive culture In our lean team of five, you’ll step in as needed to support business-critical tasks during peak times or when resources are limited, ensuring smooth and resilient operations.
- Champion Data Analytics and AI Integration: Leverage advanced tools (e.g. Google Sheets, PowerBI, Tableau, PowerQuery, Looker, lookerstudio) and explore AI-driven solutions to elevate forecasting accuracy and streamline replenishment and inventory processes.
- Education: Relevant university degree, MBA is a plus.
- Depth and Breadth: Strong strategic thinking with the ability to lead hands-on initiatives, balancing daily operational needs with big-picture improvements.
- Tech-Savvy and Data-Driven: Proficient in Excel, G-Sheets, ERP & MRP systems and advanced tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or similar platforms; experience or interest in AI applications within demand planning is highly valued.
- Innovative Problem Solver: Challenges the status quo, with a passion for driving efficiencies through technology and process improvements.
- Leadership: A collaborative leader who can guide and inspire a team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Results-Oriented Mindset: Proven ability to meet and exceed key inventory KPIs, with a strong focus on availability, turnover, and waste minimisation.
