Internal Sales Mechanical Engineering

Naismith Engineering is a Melbourne based importer of engineering components including Sprockets and Chain, Pulleys and Belts and a large range of Industrial Couplings. Started in 1947 we are a family based company with family values and a friendly work environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with at least 2 years' experience in Mechanical Power Transmission Industry to join our internal sales team. The successful applicant will be responsible for selling all of our products. This position is ideal for someone who is looking to take their career to the next level however we will also accept applications form people looking to start out in the industry as well.

The successful applicant must have a keen interest in Mechanical Engineering and have good mechanical aptitude. The position also requires the applicant to be able to solve basic math problems in order to make product selections. They must have good interpersonal skills and a pleasant phone manner as they will be dealing directly with our customers on all aspects of the sales process from the initial selection of the products, quoting, entering sales orders and working with local suppliers to make sure that the correct products are ordered.

The applicant will also be working closely with the rest of our sales team. Good computer skills will also be a necessity. A Degree in Mechanical Engineering is not a requirement for this position it would be an advantage.

All product training would be given on the job as required. We pride ourselves on being able to provide application solutions for our customers, so gaining in depth product knowledge will need to be a priority.

Salary range $70,000 - $80,000
