Environmental Engineer

Job Advertisement: Environmental Engineer – Bonza Projects (Eight Mile Plains, QLD)

• Assess environmental risks associated with construction activities, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and sustainable practices across projects.
• Develop and implement systems for wastewater and stormwater management, particularly within civil and infrastructure works such as drainage and subdivision development.
• Design and improve solutions for effective solid waste management on construction sites to reduce environmental impact.
• Monitor site activities and conduct environmental audits to ensure compliance with environmental and public health standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate environmentally sustainable practices into construction planning and execution.
• Develop and manage environmental management plans (EMPs) and erosion and sediment control plans (ESCPs) specific to construction operations.
• Liaise with local councils and environmental authorities regarding approvals, permits, and compliance issues.
• Advise on materials and methods that support green building initiatives and reduce carbon footprint.
• Monitor and review subcontractor compliance with environmental specifications.
• Contribute to sustainability reporting and assist with environmental impact assessments where required.

Qualification Required: AQF Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering or a related field
