About the Role
Are you a master of numbers with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences? At Arc’teryx, we’re looking for a Merchandise Planner to play a vital role in shaping our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels across eCommerce and retail stores in Australia and New Zealand.
Join our team and help us strike the perfect balance between brand storytelling and commercial success, all while driving best practices in planning, forecasting, and in-season execution.
As a key stakeholder in our seasonal Go-to-Market process, you’ll assist in crafting guest-focused assortments, managing seasonal buys, and driving in-season performance. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure every product launch is a success, optimize inventory, and bring local consumer insights to life.
What You’ll Do- Create curated assortments for DTC channels, ensuring they align with guest demand and maximise revenue.
- Build financial and visual plans for seasonal assortments while working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Dive into sales trends and inventory performance to identify opportunities and risks.
- Partner with HQ and local teams to align merchandise strategies with marketing and storytelling goals.
- Manage product lifecycles, optimize inventory, and coordinate product launches with retail and eCommerce teams.
- Utilise consumer, market, and competitive data to guide merchandise decisions and identify new opportunities.
- Regularly review sell-through data and take decisive actions to improve sales and inventory efficiency.
- 2+ years’ experience in merchandise planning/buying within DTC or wholesale channels.
- Strong ability to analyse data, create reports, and deliver actionable insights.
- Deep understanding of the ANZ retail environment and consumer behaviours.
- A collaborative mindset and proven success in cross-functional environments.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising systems.
- Bonus Points if you have experience in apparel, footwear, or the outdoor/sporting goods industry.
