The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and ongoing maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure. This role requires ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of network systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and optimizing network performance to achieve the highest levels of efficiency
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation:
o Design and implement secure, reliable, and high-performance network solutions to meet the organization's operational needs.
o Configure, deploy, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.o Collaborate with IT leadership to plan, configure, and integrate new network hardware, software, and services.
- Network Maintenance and Support:
o Continuously monitor network performance and resolve issues, including latency, connectivity disruptions, and outages.
o Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other essential networking equipment.o Offer day-to-day support for network infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and minimal service interruptions.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
o Proactively identify and resolve potential network issues to ensure continuous availability and reliability.
o Oversee network bandwidth management and ensure Quality of Service (QoS) for critical applications
- Collaboration and Support:
o Offer expert technical support and guidance to end-users and staff for resolving network-related issues effectively
- Experience:
o Experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or similar role is preferred.
o Hands-on experience with network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.o Experience in configuring and troubleshooting network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Skills:
o Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
o Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid environments is a plus.o Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
o Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions: o This is a full-time position, with the potential requirement for on-call or after-hours support.
o Occasional travel may be necessary to support on-site installations or maintenance.o The role demands the ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Salary: From $70,000 AUD to $90,000 AUD per annum plus Superannuation
