Mygration Pty Ltd is engaged by our client located in Airport West, VIC, 3042 to recruit a skilled candidate for the following position: Panel Beater – full time with a Base Salary range starting from $77,000 - $87,000 + Superannuation.

As a Panel Beater, you will perform skilled repairs to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Key responsibilities include:
DUTIES:
Disassembly & Damage Assessment- Removing damaged panels, trim and accessories to fully assess repair needs.
- Inspecting structural damage to determine the best repair approach.
- Hammering, reshaping, and realigning dented or deformed panels to original specifications.
- Using hydraulic and mechanical tools to straighten bent frames and structural components.
- Cutting out and replacing severely damaged sections with new or OEM-approved recycled panels.
- Precision welding replacement panels to ensure seamless integration and structural integrity.
- Applying plastic or filler compounds to smooth imperfections, then filing, grinding, and sanding for a flawless finish.
- Aligning and adjusting panels to ensure proper fit and gaps before refinishing.
- Preparing surfaces for paint by masking, priming, and sanding as needed.
- Assisting with spray painting and blending finishes for a factory-quality result.
- Reinstalling repaired or new panels, trims, and hardware (door locks, mouldings, etc.).
- Conducting final checks to ensure all components function correctly and meet quality standards.
- Assisting in restoring vintage, luxury, or specialty vehicles with careful attention to detail.
- Coordinating with painters, mechanics, and parts teams to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
- Tracking repair progress to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Following workplace health & safety (WHS) and environmental (EPA) guidelines for safe material handling and waste disposal.
- Identifying all required repairs upfront to minimize delays or additional costs.
- Ensuring every vehicle meets premium repair standards before delivery.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- At least 2 years’ experience
- Relevant Qualification
- Driver's licence
- OH&S experience preferred
