We are looking to employ on a Permanent Full Time basis a motivated, capable & charismatic Commis Chef who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and assisting in all areas in the kitchen. Skills and experience:
Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

Skills and experience:
Reporting to the Head Chef, Duties and Responsibilities include:
- · Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
- · Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
- · Cook food in a timely manner
- · Ensure appealing plate presentation
- Manages food by keeping detailed records and minimizes waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste
- · Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy, allergies)
- · Monitor food stock and place orders
- · Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- · Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
What we need from you:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant
- Proven work experience as a Commis Chef
- Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
- Excellent time management abilities
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
Commercial Cookery Qualifications essential.
