Sous Chef, Full TimeSALARY
$70,000 - $80,000 annually + Superannuation
DUTIES- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, and must be able to work in different areas of the kitchen
- Estimate food requirements and manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
- Ensure all food preparations and presentations meets the quality.
- Oversee and mentor junior kitchen staff in a positive and collaborative environment.
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP, OH&S and internal kitchen policies
- A skilled and motivated chef ready to step up into a leadership position
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen with strong service execution
- Knowledge and passion on Italian dishes are necessary.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to thrive in a busy kitchen.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in event catering or high-volume production
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery) are highly regarded.
