About Moonward
In 2015, Andrew had an app idea. While studying Medicine at Massey University in Palmerston North, Andrew started chatting to app developers to help him bring his idea to life. As a student, he did not have the funding to develop the project, but what he did have was drive.Andrew taught himself to code, he learned how to design apps and he launched his app to the app store on his own.
Although the first iteration of Moonward (Konnect App) did not take off in the way he wanted, it started conversations with business owners who wanted their own apps. And so, Moonward was born.

What we are looking for in a App Developer
Moonward is a young, tech scale-up with a new office fit out in the centre of Brisbane City! We are running a multitude of projects in varying stages of their life cycle and are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and support our design and development team.
You’ll be working closely with our project manager, design team as well as our frontend and backend developers. You’ll be responsible for developing in React Native in a Frontend, Integration and Backend capacity.- Although Full Stack capabilities isn’t required, it is a bonus.

Attention to detail is critical when you’re bringing together the design, front end development and backend development of an app.
Good CommunicatorYou must be comfortable communicating in meetings, with the team and directly to the client.
DependableIt is crucial that you are dependable and can be relied upon without being micromanaged.

As a developer, you will need to follow through. The ability to help rubber meet the road is the biggest part of the job!
Your responsibilities
Frontend Development (React Native/ React) writing and maintaining software code to meet system requirements and Moonward standards to ensure applications perform to specIntegrating Frontend and Backend, writing, updating and maintaining software to meet requirements and specs.
Weekly client meetings, providing advice, guidance and technical expertise when engaging with Moonward clients
Reporting directly to the lead developer, assisting in debugging, researching and analysing of code/ code requirements
Working closely with our backend and UI/UX design team
