Architectural Draftsperson - Brisbane

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Architectural Draftsperson to join their team in Warwick QLD.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Develop detailed architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details from preliminary sketches, specifications, and design proposals.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD) to create accurate and precise drawings.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and engineers to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare presentation drawings, renderings, and 3D models as needed.
• Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers and senior architects.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including schedules, specifications, and material lists.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest drafting techniques, software updates, and industry standards.
• Perform site visits to gather information and verify existing conditions, as required.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

• Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Architectural Draftsperson
• Proven experience as an Architectural Draftperson or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in at least one major CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD). Experience with Revit and/or BIM workflows is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and building codes
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong technical drawing skills and the ability to interpret architectural sketches and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
