We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our super supportive, family orientated small business team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our business to provide superior services to our clients.This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization through effective provision of services and communication as well as being involved with our clients face to face.
The Job:As a Service Engineer at European Bedding and based out of our Balcatta facility, you’ll have a significant role in dealing with our healthcare clients and ensure that our installed equipment is working to it’s optimum. You’ll use your engineering expertise and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve technical challenges.
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to follow a script—you’ll apply your judgment, problem-solving capabilities and passion for providing technology solutions to physically challenged end users. You will also ensure that our corporate clients who procure our equipment and services receive a high level of professionalism, superior customer service and see a strong desire to maintain the products they use so that any down time is limited.
You will be required to:- Assemble and install a range of existing and future healthcare products as we grow our portfolio of medical equipment solutions known as “assistive technology”.
- Test all equipment prior to install and onsite and trouble shoot problems.
- along with our supplier training, you may need to modify equipment to provide a customised solution where necessary.
- Inspect and ensure that the existing and modified equipment conforms with all AS/NZ regulations and safety requirements and also IEC standards.
- Conduct full periodic audits of installed equipment at our corporate client’s medical facility on-site at our individual client’s premises.
- Collected performance data through the testing of equipment to provide feedback back to our suppliers for process improvements.
- Apply engineering expertise to analyse recurring system issues and propose long-term solutions.
- Carry out equipment repairs at our workshop.
- Have test and tagging certification to be able to complete such work.
- Must have manual drivers license
- Build trust with customers by delivering clear, empathetic communication over phone and email.
- Take ownership of service jobs ensuring accurate and timely resolutions.
- Provide guidance to teammates to elevate the team’s technical and service capabilities.
- Be a subject matter expert in all our solutions and be able to articulate technical guidance to customers and technicians especially those in remote areas or with high volumes of our equipment.
- Manage supplier warranty claims and provide full diagnostics as to the reasons for the failures.

- Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology
- Minimum 5+ years work experience
- Minimum 2+ years of direct technical engineering experience
- Test and tagging certificate
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Full, clean driving license and comfortable driving mid-sized service vehicles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Salary $75000
