Salary : $75,000 - $95,000 a year
Established in 2012 Rustica delivers artisan breads and pastries baked using traditional sourdough techniques. From savoury croissants to delicious espresso tarts, and our ever-popular range of donuts and crullers, everything at Rustica is prepared, baked or cooked on site.
Rustica is currently looking for skilled and dedicated Bakers to join their team.
As a Baker you will need to possess the following: Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
Mixing doughs to specific guidelinesWorking out required dough temperatures
Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bakery goods
Operating machines which roll and mould dough
Baking bread loaves and rolls
Monitoring and adjusting oven temperatures determine baking times
Ensuring wastage is minimized and budget of supplies and materials are adhered
At all times, ensuring that Food Safety requirements are met
Maintaining the cleanliness of the equipment and surrounding, applying with occupational health and safety regulations.
Successful applicants must have the following: Relevant qualification
At least 1 year’s of relevant experienceAbility to multi-task and perform under pressure
Willingness to constantly learn and be inspired
Possess effective communication skills
