What's the role?

Embarking on a career as an Account Manager - Steel & Metal at Hilti is an exciting development journey, if you are someone keen to develop your career in a global company and build a strong business foundation. Focusing on Hilti's Steel & Metal Customer base, this role requires a high level of technical competence mixed with strong business acumen.

What does the role involve?
You will play a crucial role in understanding the dynamics of customer engagement and the importance of maintaining profitable accounts while working directly with clients to understand their needs and collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions.

This role requires be on the field, driving to meet clients face to face daily where you will generate new business opportunities by reaching out to potential clients and nurturing leads.

In addition, you will:

  • Offer design and structural analysis for a wide range of applications based on Hilti's engineering solutions including modular support systems and related products, heavy duty anchors and direct fastening solutions and rebars. Ensuring that structural integrity and performance requirements are met for various projects.
  • Provide expertise on Hilti's advanced structural engineering software solutions customized for steel and metal applications. This includes design and analysis tools for calculating structural loads, performing finite element analysis, and optimizing steel and metal structures.
  • Offer technical support and consulting services to assist clients in selecting the right steel and metal engineering solutions for their projects. This includes product recommendations, design assistance, and on-site support to ensure successful implementation.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferable)
  • Proficiency with Engineering Software
  • Design and application competency
  • Technical design awareness relating to AEFAC and NCC compliance
  • Previous experience in any customer facing roles with a strong customer centric approach
  • Internationally or Domestically Mobile with the desire to develop and outperform
  • Motivated and capable of working independently
  • Time management, planning and prioritization skills
  • A valid full Australian driver’s license
