Salary: $90,000 plus 11.5% superannuation

Our client Mahaya Indhyo Services Pty Ltd, trading as Finance and Mortgage Solutions, is a leading financial services provider specialising in mortgage broking, lending solutions, and financial advisory services.

The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Compliance and Lending Risk Analyst to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintain quality assurance standards, and mitigate risks across its operations.

This role is critical for the continued growth and operational excellence of the business by upholding high compliance and quality standards, ensuring client satisfaction, and enhancing the company’s reputation in the industry.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operational excellence and growth of Mahaya Indhyo Services Pty Ltd while playing a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance within the financial services industry.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification at the level of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Quality Assurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • At least One year of full-time relevant work experience in a similar industry is required.
  • Experience in compliance, quality assurance, and lending risk management within the financial services industry will be highly regarded.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) for lending operations, ensuring strict adherence to the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, ASIC regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of internal and external audits, maintaining compliance registers and ensuring that all documentation meets regulatory standards, including the Complaints Register and Breach Register.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement strategies to mitigate risks, safeguarding compliance with ACL obligations.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, ensuring compliance efforts are well-documented and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct daily reviews of loan applications and disbursements to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports and audit documentation to regulatory bodies, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of risk management strategies and adjust as needed to address emerging risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align quality assurance efforts with overall business goals and improve operational efficiency.
  • Developing and maintaining quality assurance documentation and compliance checklists.
  • Organizing and conducting internal audits and following up on findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Supporting the implementation of new regulatory requirements and QA initiatives.
  • Ensuring data accuracy and integrity in all compliance documentation and registers.
To be considered for this role you must have; • Strong knowledge of the National Consumer Credit Protection Act and ASIC regulations.
  • Excellent risk assessment and mitigation skills.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for training and liaising with regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
  • Proficiency in compliance tools and risk management software.
