We are currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Agricultural Consultant to join our farm. This role will see you managing farm activities and key customer relationships in line with long-term strategic goals; identifying and converting new business opportunities, negotiating, and concluding profitable business arrangements and improving overall market position to achieve strong financial growth.
This individual would be given the responsibility of the following:- Must have minimum 2 years of experience working in similar role
- Overseeing the annual crop development. This will include the planning of seedling preparation, planting, irrigation, cultivating and spraying – leading to harvest.
- Ensuring correct harvest to suit conditions of crop, pest, and diseases to minimise any physical defects.
- Monitoring crops to facilitate forecasting for harvest logistics, including marketing, freight, packaging, and all staff requirements.
- Maintaining successful working relationship with key contractors and suppliers such as IPM and Agronomist.
- Delivering orders and organising all farm staff including the analysation of their hours and progress
- Monitoring the care and maintenance of all equipment including machinery, vehicles, and irrigation pumps.
- Excellent work ethic and demonstrated commitment to WHS standards and procedures.
- Fresh Care & Harps quality management systems.
Our business is all year round with fluctuating daily work volumes. Thus, it is essential that you can work flexible hours. Start times are typically early and the hours can vary depending on the weather, market prices, market demand and other factors.
The offer: Salary:$80,000-90,000/year +super
