Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Commis Chef to join our team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for collaborating with senior chefs to create dishes that make a lasting impression. What you will do?:
- Prepare a range of dishes in a high-volume production setting
- Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
- Execute food preparation tasks with attention presentation and quality
- Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Ensure HACCP and WHS compliance, including temperature checks, quality control, and effective management of cross-contamination
More about you:
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef is essential
- Proven experience in an a' la carte restaurant or function service is preferred
- Solid background in kitchen operations
- Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery
- A genuine passion for food and strong creative flair
