About the Role:
There’s currently a need for a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Procurement Advisor to join the team. This pivotal role will report directly to the Manager – Procurement and contribute significantly to creating and scaling category strategies that deliver value for money, risk reduction, and process efficiency. As a Senior Procurement Advisor, you will lead end-to-end procurement, contract, and supplier lifecycle management practices, while identifying continuous improvement opportunities to streamline procure-to-pay processes and enhance system adoption. As part of the role you will be expected to:
- Provide strategic advice, lead policy development, and drive operational improvements across the organisation.
- Analyse complex data, challenge perspectives, and make recommendations for enhanced business outcomes.
- Supervise team projects and conduct in-depth analysis to meet organisational and operational needs.
- Prepare technical reports and committee papers on major projects, research, and policy development.
- Build strong internal and external relationships, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and enhance procurement capabilities to improve efficiency.
About You:
- 10+ years of proven procurement experience, particularly in large-scale and complex tenders, including panel arrangements and contract implementation.
- University degree in a STEM-related field or Commerce preferred.
- Extensive category knowledge and experience in IT and Facilities Management (hard and soft) categories.
- Highly skilled in using Microsoft Excel and Power BI to generate insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Dynamics D365 (Finance) and cloud-based Procure-to-Pay systems.
- Experience with project management approaches for end-to-end procurement processes is highly desirable.
- Experience in complex stakeholder engagement within a decentralised environment is highly desirable.
Please note, the role requires full eligibility to work in Australia, completion of a National Criminal Check, and a current/valid Queensland Driver's Licence.
