Senior Accountant

• Leading and overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices due for payment.
• Directing the accounts receivable function, including the strategic allocation of payments and optimizing cash flow.
• Implementing and managing advanced credit control strategies for overdue payments to minimize bad debt exposure.
• Supervising the preparation of detailed timesheets for weekly and fortnightly payroll, ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
• Overseeing the entire payroll process, including resolving complex payroll issues and integrating payroll data with financial systems.
• Developing and presenting comprehensive budget reports to the management team, projecting business profitability, and conducting variance analysis against actual performance.
• Preparing and reviewing Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS), and complex financial statements.
• Conducting thorough audits of financial information, and preparing detailed general ledger entries, profit and loss statements, and other critical financial reports.
• Analyzing and interpreting complex financial data to assess company performance and profitability, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
• Participating in high-level strategic meetings, reporting on the company's financial status to directors, and providing sophisticated financial planning and tax advisory services.
• Designing and implementing internal controls and financial procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Leading financial forecasting, risk management, and scenario planning activities to support long-term business goals.

Work hours: Monday to Friday 10am-6pm
