About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for our Sunshine North site, to co-ordinate the planning and execution of preventative and breakdown maintenance (including spares management), MOC management with the site engineers, trade support, third-party contractors and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to:- Maintenance Coordination –
o Championing the weekly planning cycle, extended maintenance shutdowns and weekly planning meetings with production.
o Develop targeted weekly plans for various departments in the plant for inhouse mechanical and electrical trades as well as external contractors.o Provide accurate weekly maintenance KPI completion reports, tracking PM and regulatory compliance, capturing all break in work and schedule adherence.
o Timely prioritization of repair of faulty plant and equipment and predictable delivery of preventative maintenance.
o Maintain and document equipment specifications, history, parts/ materials in MEX database.
o Provide a hands-on approach to troubleshooting equipment while supervising of in field activities to ensure high quality outcomes.
o Actively participate in daily morning maintenance meetings to prioritising and coordinate works required for the day.
o Coordinate maintenance through site contractors and act as a point of contact for third party service providers.
o Learn and develop understanding of site processes as to optimise planning approach to deliver tailor made maintenance plans thus enabling effective execution.
- Safety –
o Issue permits to work to in-house and external contractors as to ensure safe execution of works on site.
- Compliance –
- Maintenance Spaces –
o Source quotes from suppliers, raise shopping cart to generate Purchase Orders, check quality of supplied parts and complete the GR process.
- Reporting –
o Produce weekly maintenance reports on a range of KPI’s so Managers are fully informed of the work that has been undertaken for the plant.
o Capture all completed work orders on site via CMMS system.o Continuous improvement of the CMMS including generation of new and optimisation of existing Preventative Maintenance plans. Updating and improvement of CMMS asset tree.
o Updating maintenance records and critical parameters on consistent basis.

What we are looking for
As the successful person, we are looking for:
- Someone with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant trade background with a superior technical mechanical aptitude and logical approach to problem solving.
- Supervisory experience with 3-5 years industry experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – to work autonomously, while planning, organising and prioritizing to meet required deadlines.
- Previous experience in dangerous goods and/or Ex-process plants is desirable.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of HSE with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Thorough, organized, dependable, clear communicator, results oriented, with ability to work calmly under pressure in both team and autonomous environments.
